All I know is that when I mention Estrangement in a group, nearly always someone else says it's happened to them too. There are so many who are experiencing this and are heartbroken. It's a national phenomenon. I never knew the term until a loved one suddenly shut down communication and I was seeking understanding about what happened / what to do. Estrangement is a term for when a beloved adult family member stops all communication. Not a runaway, just sudden stop of contact with no explanation. In the process, I learned about fully turning all over to God, BELIEVING in His miraculous healing during the wait and that Forgiveness of all who have hurt me (even in the past) is not optional. Forgiveness is the key to unlocking the block to moving ON to a restored life. God's work is not all done yet but I see encouraging signs of it in progress. Thank You God!

All Glory to God! Thank you so much for sharing. I come into agreement for your inner-healing and that all trauma from this experience will be healed in Jesus name! It's a process but as you said it is a major key to digging up bitter roots that don't belong. Praying for you!

Thank you for sharing. We do need to share our story. It brings glory to God! I love to see Him overcome shame, and transform us from people who fear man to beloved children who fear the Lord.

Amen! We overcome by the blood of the lamb and the word of our testimony! Overcoming the fear of man and opinions of others is a process but the level of freedom in Christ on the other side is so worth it!

Just beautiful sweet sister in Christ! The enemy wants us to keep hidden that which the Lord has redeemed or is working out for His glory. Thank you so much for your wonderful words!

Thank you for sharing on the importance of sharing! Being an abuse survivor, the realization that I wasn’t alone was life changing! That happened because someone was willing to share. We overcome by the blood of the lamb and word of our testimonies!

Amen! I couldn’t agree more. Thank you for sharing. The Spirit of perfectionism at its root is shame. I’m thankful that there’s no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. When our identity is rooted and grounded in Christ we can tell the Truth and lead boldly because our worth is found only in Him. Not applause, titles, or accolades.
